$500,000 to be donated to sustainable energy projects by TheSustainableEnergyHomepage.com
TheSustainableEnergyHomepage.com aims to become the definitive homepage for companies, organizations and individuals involved in sustainable energy. It will be an up-to-date, dynamic website resource that allows companies to pin their colors to the mast and showcase what they are doing to promote the development of sustainable energy.
The Sustainable Energy Homepage uses the marketing idea of TheMillionDollarHomepage.com with a twist; for every $100 invested in advertising on this homepage, 50% will be donated or invested in sustainable energy projects and the offset of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. This means that if the site is fully sold, in the first year we will donate and invest $500,000 to sustainable energy projects guaranteeing to offset approx. 40,000 tonnes of CO2 which is equivalent to the CO2 emissions of 4000 average households in the UK.
Companies will be able to purchase pixel blocks for a set fee but it is hoped that companies will use this initiative to go the extra mile and donate additional funds to offset CO2. The Sustainable Energy Homepage will maintain a list of all the companies advertising on the homepage so the top CO2 offsetters can be seen.
